9C for $309 good deal?
I walked into my LHS looking to buy a 9C, and they had them on the shelves with a sticker at $399. I want to support my LHS, but Tower has the 9C's on sale for $350 with 4 3004's. So, I asked the guy "I want to buy from you, but Tower has them for $350, can you do anything with the price?" He pulls out the catalog and punches some numbers, and says "How about $309?"
I said SURE! and ordered the radio.
But... I almost feel guilty. I just wanted him to match Tower's price, not beat it!
He's an old guy, and I don't know if he made a mistake? Is he making any money on it?

I'm sure he's making a little money on it. But more important, he's establishing goodwill, which will give him repeat business from you, as well as recommendations to all your friends. It's good business. I wish more local businesses understood this concept.

I already bought it at that price, but I did buy some other stuff from him as well to bring the price up. (shhhh... don't tell the wife.
I'll definitely buy more from him. Actually, I shop there all the time. It's a well stocked shop. It's great to be able to walk into a hobby store and find something like a Harry Higgley heavy brass prop nut and lock nut in a 7x1mm thread for a Saito. It blows my mind, it seems he has EVERYTHING in that shop.
Definitely worth having around. I just hope he didn't screw up and sell it under cost.
Anybody know the wholesale on a 9C with the 8 channel FM reciever and 4 3004's?

Original 9C with full package.
8ch FM receiver with 4 S3004's, switch, RX bat, etc...
Geistware, "was too high".... at $400, or $309? I shopped around and the best I saw online was $350. Even if it was a little high at 309, I'm happy, I think that was a fair price. The guy's gotta eat.

Nope, that is a good price.
I thought you were saying TX only.
Sorry, $309 for TX and flight kit is good.
