Default Ooops...antenna cut...

while installing a tail wheel assembly on my 4*60...the antenna that was just inside the fuselage was cut....

72mhz Futaba rx.... only about 1" of antenna wire was cut off.....

I'm assuming I am still fine, but just curious if there is anything I should worry about....

Cheers

Default RE: Ooops...antenna cut...

Only an inch missing...probably no worries. As long as it it range checks OK, then there shouldn't be a problem. On the other hand, you could solder the two ends together and put some heat shrink tubing over the join to insulate it. Do a range check and again you'll be good to go....

If it were me, I'd just do a range check with it the way it is and go fly(assuming it range checks OK)
