Default RD 8000 with Hitec Rec. Pack

Hi all,

I have an Airtronics RD 8000(23), And was going to get a Hitec RCD
3800 7-Channel DC shift selectable receiver and crystal(23) along
with some Hitec servos.. Will the Hitec Flight pack work exactly
as an Airtronics reciever would? In as such as seperate channels
for Ailirons/Elevator?? And Range? Thanks for any info

It should...I'm using one of those receivers with my RD6000 in a 4-star 60 and the dual ailerons work as advertised... the only wrinkle is of course that you won't be able to use channel eight

You can use any fm receiver with the RD8000
The radio is shift selectable. I run hitec, futaba,
jr and airtronics receivers with out any problems.

As Speedy and Swampflier have noted you are good to go. I beleve Hitec and Airtronics of the four majors are the only ones that have selectable shift Tx's. Even if you did have a non selectable Tx you would not be limited to just the seven channel Hitec seletable Rx as all Hitec Rx's are avaliable in either shift. Additionally I beleve that among dual conversion FM (ppm) rx's that the various versions of Hitec units are superior performers particularly in a high vibration environment. The one Hitec to avoid however for your use is the single conversion Feather.
