Receiver Crystal frequency.. 61.790 ???

Default Receiver Crystal frequency.. 61.790 ???

I have a reciever crystal 61-790 Mhz SS-9312. can you help me out.. what frequency is it? Is it AM or FM?

Crystals are not AM/FM sensitive, so this would work with either. If one assumes a first IF of 10.7 mHz, this crystal would receive 72.49, whatever channel that is; i.e., 61.790 + 10.7 = 72.49. That is making the assumption that the receiver you put it into is double conversion and uses a low side crystal rather than a high side crysta. Confuseing enough????

Les, thanks.. channel 35... clear as mud... hahaha but answers my question.. the crystal is bad... started changing crystals and the others are marked 35... 72.490.. Hitec....

Glad you enlighted me...BTW used Futaba freq chart....
