FMA FS 8 receiver, glitches???
This is the second weekend in a row that I was disappointed by receiver glitches from
my FMA Direct receiver. Last weekend I made an attempt, while doing a range check the
one or the other aileron would move full throw downward, during which I had no control of the
ailerons.
Today went to a completely new flying area about 5 miles from the first one, during range
check I experienced the same issues, except this time the ailerons moved in full throw opposite
eachother and occasionally just one or the other. I only experienced this on ailerons, no other
surfaces were affected.
This is my third FMA receiver, the first two (FS 5) I returned because of servo "buzzing"
I have a Hitec Eclipse 7 radio. I have read a few posts in which people had trouble with the "buzzing".
Has anyone had similar experiences with severe glitching?
Thank goodness for the range check, or my plane might be a pile of rubble. I flew the plane
two weekends ago with no problems at all.
Thanks for any help!

RE: FMA FS 8 receiver, glitches???
I've been flying the FMA FS 8 reciever for a year now and it has performed flawlessly. I'm going to buy a 2nd. Radio glitches are a bad thing, so I sympathize. While it is possible you have a bad reciever (a lemon), I would bet the problem lies in the application. Things to look for include:
1. Antennae routing. Keep it away from servo wires! I can make a Futaba or an FMA reciever glitch if I run a portion of the antennae wire next to the servo wires.
2. See step 1.

RE: FMA FS 8 receiver, glitches???
Thanks for the suggestion! I want to like these little receivers, I really do!
I just realized today my receiver is a Quantum 8, not an FS 8, sorry.
My antennae is running outside underneath the fuselage and I do have
3 servos in the tail of my plane, elev. rudder and tailwheel, so I have three
very long servo wires running the full length of the fuselage. The servo wires
are probably 4 inches apart form the antennae wire, they parallel each other.
I will experiment with the routing of the wire, and try to direct it towards the
nose of the plane. I certainly appreciate your suggestion.
Regards,
Jesse
