Default JR 8103 mixing function question

The manual says that the mixing functions 1 to 4 can be set to include or exclude the master channel trim switch changes in the slave channel output. I can't seem to access this feature on my transmitter (set to aircraft mode). Is this an error in the manual? Thanks for your help.

Default JR 8103 Mixes

Mixes 5 & 6 include trim. Mixes 1 & 2 are 5-point mixes. Mixes 3 & 4 are just plain old mixes.

What are you mixing that you need trin included? The only thing I used it for is one time I made a V-tail mix an acro type plane instead of using the glider type.
