Default R319DPS synth vs R309DPS synth recievers

The R309DPS has been replaced with the R319DPS.
Was there a problem with the R309DPS?
I've purchased a Mike Harrison Odyssey pattern plane that has the 309 installed.
It's never been crashed or abused. I'm just trying to determine if I should change it out with the 319?
I just don't want a potential problem receiver in my new pride and joy.

Any thoughts?

Chuck..

There were problems with the 309 model, Something about problems with the twin coils, So Futaba redesigned the insides and renamed it the 319. They said as long as I was not having problems with it I could go ahead and fly it. But I really don't feel like taking a chance with a component that has a history of problems. I'll just drop a new one in it for the piece of mind.
