Default Advice on best radio

Hi Guys,

I need to purchase a heli radio for my first helicopter. I want something which can be used in airplanes as well. I had made up my RD6000 from Airtronics but I figured that I wanted something with at least another channel.

So can you guys please recommend the best radio. I am thinking the Futaba 9CAF or Hitec Eclipse 7 channel.

Also what is the difference in the 9CAF and the 9CHF. I understand the 9CHF is for helicopters but I thought all the 9CH radios had modes for heli and airplane, so why is this one specifically heli ?

Please let me know thanks.

Vipul, you might want to do a search. this topic has been beat pretty hard.

the futaba h radios have no throttle ratchet and the trainer/2nd switch on the right; the a has a throttle ratchet and the trainer switch on the left.
