Futaba 9CAP Timer Question
In addition to the S1 and S2 timers there is the main timer that seemingly shows the amount of time on the radio. Is there a purpose to this timer other than the total amount of time on the radio? How is this info beneficial? Can/should it be reset? A friend of mine was flipping through the menus and the main timer began to flash as if it could be reset, but he moved on and nothing in the manual refers to the main timer, just S1 and S2. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance,

RE: Futaba 9CAP Timer Question
I use it to keep up with TX battery time between charges.
Yes, you can reset it without harm.
You can also reset the bottom timer (MDL) which is total time on the particular model you have displayed.
Press the lower right edit key until the timer flashes then press down the dial until it resets.
There are 4 timers. (All can be reset)
Transmitter time.(Timer)
S1
S2

RE: Futaba 9CAP Timer Question
How is the main timer reset? I can't imagine its use is for battery time as the meter would inform one about that. I don't have a model timer either, that I know of.

RE: Futaba 9CAP Timer Question
I think the 9C timer is the pits. I also have a 9VAP and an 8UAP and both are much more user friendly than the 9C timer. The 9C instructions are also bad for the timer function.

RE: Futaba 9CAP Timer Question
Y ou have to attempt timer reset just after power up. If you do something else first, it will not work.
While the 9C and 8U's are functionally the same, both radios are a step above the old 8U.
