Default Receiver antenna

Hi, can i change the antenna wire on my hitec HFS-03MM receiver ,as i have damaged it where it comes out from the receiver itself. It still works but i'm not sure how long it will last and i don't really want to buy a whole new unit just for a peice of wire.[&o]

Thanks for any help.

Just solder on a piece of 26AWG coated wire of the correct length. Length is more important than thick/thin ness of the wire.

Yes, you can repair it. Use any flexable insulated wire and solder a 39 to 41 inch length of it to the receiver in the same spot the original was attached. Length is not real critical, anything from 39 to 41 inches will work well. If there is a good portion of the wire still fastened to the reciever, you can just splice (needs a good solder joint or crimp at the splice) as long as the final length of the original piece and spliced on piece is 39 to 41 inches long.
