Default 6.0V battery on JR charger

Greetings all,

I was wondering if you can use the charger than came with JR's 9303 radio (the charger's number is JRPC222) to charge a JR Extra 6.0v 1400mah battery. The reason I ask is because the LED on the charger does not illuminate when I plug in the 6.0V battery. It works fine on the 4.8V 1100mah battery that came with the system.

Am I missing something?

Thanx!

generally the wall wart chargers will charge a 6 volt pack, but at a reduced rate. sometimes the led therefore is very faint or not lit at all. I have measured my chargers, and they put out about 45 mA to my 6 volt packs. This means it will take at least 24 hours (1100 / 45) to charge your 1100 pack.

Thanx DMcQuinn

I'll put it on the charger for a while and see what happens!
