Default JR 703 Servo problem

Hey all. I need some help on working out an issue I am having with my retract servo. I am using Futaba 9C radio and a FP-R148DF reciever in my WM P-51 and can't get my 6V pack to operate my JR 703 (retract) servo. I called Horizon and the tech said that is 6V compatible, but it only works on a 4.8V pack. I have a couple of 1500ma 6V packs I use for my other planes and wanted to use one on this model..... but I need landing gear. Anyone have experience trying to run this servo on a 6V pack, or am I just stuck with using a 4.8V pack because of the servo.

Thanks,

Mike

Mike,

Did you ever solve the JR 703 vs 6 volt problem? I have the exact situation.

thanks,

Not sure what the problem is, but the 703 works fine on a 6 volt system. We checked a few here to be sure and they work fine. If you have one that is not working, I would recommend sending it in to our service center and let one of our techs check it out.

I am still having the problem with the 703. I returned my original servo to my LHS and they replaced it for me. The second 703 still will not function with a 6v pack. I guess it is off to Horizon for service.

Strange I have two 703 and they both work fine on 6 volt(duralitesplus regulated to 6 volts), I used JR radio and receiver, that might be the difference?

Could be the radio/receiver. Mine is also set up with Futaba, and still no luck with the JR 703 and 6V. I guess mine goes to Horizon too.

In the mean time I'm using a Hitec 75 with no problems.

Mine doesn't even work on a fully charged 4.8v pack. If I pull the peak voltage down by discharging the 4.8 pack slightly it will function normally.Go figure.

I didn't have that problem with my 4.8, but I did try brining down the peak voltage on the 6V pack. This didn't work either...
