A one inch or so piece of my receiver antennea happen to get cut off. Will this affect the range much? I can't range test it right now and I'd rather know if it will affect it muich before I get out to the field so I can go ahead and switch receivers out now. The RX is a Hitec Micro 555.

The 555 comes with an antenna length of forty one inchs. One inch short is not a big issue. You do not need to switch out the Rx in any case. Just solder on a length of #26 AWG stranded wire to bring the length up to 41 and shrinkwrap the simple overlapping joint.

Awesome thanks. I figured it would be alright, just wanted to make sure.
