Default RE: what causes radio glitching?

There are many things that can cause your radio to glitch, to many to itemize here. Of course any physical damage to the receiver could cause it, usually because one of the two crystals in the receiver has been cracked or an intermittent open in one of the two leads inside the crystal case. This can happen anytime the receiver receives a mechanical shock such as a hard landing or crash without proper padding. Of course any spuriouse radiation falling withing our spectrum can also cause that such as an arcing transformer nearby, a malfuctioning airconditioner or furnace wiring, any type of sparking such as a welding wand, carboned up spark plug in some internal combustion engine etc. An improperly tuned transmitter on an adjacent channel could also cause it to happen or, even if your transmitter become untuned due to mechanical shock, bad or intermittent power switch etc.

forgot the obvious one, metal on metal surfaces that are vibrating. hence the reason to do a range test with the engine running!
