10x battery,li-ion
Hi All
I have been flying a JR-10X since they came out in 1999 or so.
The battery has been changed one time, and the charge only seems to last an hour or so.
Is anyone useing li-ion batteirs in their JR-10x's, if so which one and how long is the radio run time.
Thanks
Bill

RE: 10x battery,li-ion
I swapped out my 10X NiCad for 2500Mah NiMh. It lasts over twice as long as the NiCad ever did. It's a very tight squeeze to install it and I had to grind the inside of the battery case to make it fit, but I got it in there.

Go to www.hangtimes.com (NO BS Batteries) ... they have an excellent pack, with full instructions on how to convert... 4X the "on" time of the standard pack...
NiMh. Duralite used to make a drop-in Li-Ion cartridge, but it was very expensive (like $140)... the cases are no longer available so they stopped making them last I heard.... the NiMH is the best way to go.. once the battery came in, it took me less than 10 minutes to do the entire change out.
