Default Help with radio choice

I'm new to rc and will be purchasing a 6 channel radio soon. I have looked at a lot of them and read a lot of comments about all the different brands. I would appreciate any comments about the Hitec Optic 6.

There was apparently a sofware issue on the Optic 6 so you may want to do a search and see if those issues are resolved. As a general rule Hitec will provide great value for the price.

The issues in question have been resolved for several months now, so not to worry. Yes it does have Heli software as well as Acro and Glider functions that make it one of the most versitile radios on the market.

Thanks for the update Mike. I plan on buying the Optic6 for a backup so this eases my mind.

Thanks for the feed back. It looks like I will go with the OPTIC 6 for now. It should last me a couple years and then if need be I can upgrade later.

Welcome to the boards.

Just as an FYI, typing in all caps is considered yelling and in general we only use it to emphasize a point.

Enjoy!

The Hitec Optic 6 with the Spectra Module is the way to go. The versatility of dialing in any channel can't be beat.

Thanks. I haven't heard anything bad about the Optic 6 other than some earlier software problems. So I will be ordering one this week.
