Default Will 2 foot Rx battery leads invite intereference?

Here's my situation. I have a very nice giant scale PT-19 that was setup with a Zenoah G-26 instead of the usual, much lighter, 120 to 150 glow motor. The result is that the plane is enormously nose heavy and needs a full 8 ounces of lead way back at the tip of the tail to get the CG correct. Rather that add additional weight in dead lead, I have opted to relocate my 1800 mah NiCd battery ( 9 ounces) way back in the tail end of the fuse'. That is so very much simpler than trying to relocate servos in the tail, etc. That solves the weight distribution and CG problem, but does it also invite any radio intereference,...since the Rx antenna will be just a few inches away and parallel to, the battery leads, all along its length. The Rx and servos are in the conventional location near the CG. The battery leads will be twisted...for whatever benefit that may provide, but is there something else I am unaware of? Thanks for the comments from all of you electrical engineering types out there.

It could make the antenna directive slightly but I don't think you will notice anything.
Make sure the wires to the pack are adequate for the longer run or you might have other problems.

OK...is 22 gauge stranded copper wire sufficient?

I would think so. With a G26 you probably don't have excessive servo current drain.
