PCM VS FM Question
I have a Futaba 6XA FM transmitter with an R127 FM receiver. If I want to switch to a PCM receiver, do I need another transmitter that is purpose built for the PCM receiver?

RE: PCM VS FM Question
pcm can't be compared to fm (search on here for that subject...)
anyway, yes a 6xa will do either pcm or ppm.

RE: PCM VS FM Question
I think (don't own one) that the 6xa does pcm and ppm(fm) but remember if you buy into pcm you MUST purchase a futaba pcm receiver you can't mix and match receivers with pcm

RE: PCM VS FM Question
I have a 6xa transmitter and use it for both PPM and PCM.. Just a matter os setting the transmitter to PPM or PCM to match the reciever being used at the moment.. I have quit buying PPM receivers and am going all PCM... Much happier with it..

RE: PCM VS FM Question
Just remember if you mix and match PCM and PPM recievers on the same transmitter you have to power cycle the transmitter after you change the modulation. The modulation is selectable per model so if you change models that have different modulation types you have to power cycle after you change models.
