I have a 8U and like it very much but am considering having the wife get me a 9C for XMAS. Anyone have the 2 to compare. what will the 9c do that the 8u wont, and how much easier is the 9C to program

Smallfy please see the 9C faq for a feature by feature comparison. the 9C is MUCH simpler to use, as attested to all over this and many other sites.
www.futabarc.com/faq/faq-9c.html.

if you'd like to compare 9C to JRs 8103, send an email to support@futabarc.com with

9cvs8103 in the body of the email.

The 9C is a great radio! Very easy to use and about $100 less than a JR 8103. With the Campaq module you can increase the number of models stored. In order to use the 9th channel you will have to use PCM modulation and the 9 channel PCM rx. There is a 128k Clonepaq available to store around 30 or so models in the radio!

had 2 8uhp txs lot of the guys were getting the 9c at our club
so i sold 1 to a new member and bought a 9chp got a model gadget cam pac that will hold 66 memories and a super battery pack its1830nimh i flew the 8 for about 6 yrs it was kinda hard switching after using it for so many yrs. been using it now for about 3 months no regrets havn't set back and put all my aircraft
in it yet had about 27 or 28 in the 8 got about 6 or 7 planes in it getting ready to put the copters in it hoping the gyro programing
won't be too difficult. i took all the setting from the 8 (trims atv rev
dr and so forth)and matced th same figure in the 9 so far every thing has been within 1 or 2 clicks of trim so the are super close
i'm not sure if i can say the programming is easier i haven't looked in the book yet and i did one of the guys that bought one he had a few complex mixes took me a little time to get it right but i still didn't use the book but i don't know if thats because i had the 8 u for so long i knew what i was looking for.
