Default JR

Since I bought my first JR MAX 66 3 years ago, I have never looked back. I have just bought the JR X-3810 ADT- SPCM-- EXCELLENT !!!

I shall recommend JR anytime.

Regards

Default Jr ???

It's kinda weird. When I got into the hobby a few years back I felt their was a stigma against JR and Hitec both. I remember people telling me not to buy a Flash 5X and instead get a 4 channel Futaba! Well I bought the Flash5X and I loved it considering that it cost less than the cheapest Futaba. Recently I sold the Flash because I was getting into some things where I wanted more than 5 channels and I decided to get a 9C. (Which just came in yesterday and I love it already). Maybe it's just my part of the country, but I really don't know anyone that uses JR equipment. Some of their top end stuff looks really good. But for the money I wanted to spend I couldn't find anything I felt was better than a 9C. Not even the Eclipse.

So I know I'm just babbling and I really can't give you any advise on JR, just wanted to share my opinion.

I've been using JR for a couple of years. It's great stuff! On the whole, I think the quality is far better than Futaba. I've owned equipment from most of the major brands, and what I choose to use is JR.

I've been using mostly Futaba and JR for a long time now. You can't go wrong with either. They are both top quality, and your decision can be based more on what you like/dislike between then, than quality issues.

I have had excellent customer service from both.

Go with the flow... use whatever is most prevalent at your local field, or buy what feels right in your hands, and has the features you feel are important.

Only JR........That includes rx, tx and also their top quality servos !

I don't know nothing about the Futaba radios or servos. Don't even know their name or code or #.

The only application where I don't use JR equipment are the Batteries. Those I get from RadicalRC and they are NIMH ! Oh yeah and also the servo lead extension. There I use the ones from Hitec.

I would suggest yu buy the brand that is flown by most of the club members in the area. I fly JR and love it for DLG and my sailplanes. Good equipment is worth it.

I have Futaba and Hitec My brother has JR. It is all what you get used to I will probably always fly these. I helped my brother program his it took a couple of hours. I can program mine in a minute or two.

I agree . I am just use to the way the programing is on JR....

The JR programing is so easy for me.. The others require You to learn a whole set of new commands, Something I just don't care to spend time doing.

Jerry

Nothing wrong with all the others. I just Like JR .

Still using my PCM9 Single Stick that I bought new in '90 or so. Pete Waters blessed it a year ago and I put in new batteries once in a while. Just like the Energizer Rabbit.

I also have an old Fuataba FGK7 FM narrow band. Same story but I did get a T6XAS and after opening it up, sold it. The old gold box is built much better.

I have flown JR for over 14 years, and would never change. I like every aspect of their equipment.
Although I also think that the other manufactures (Futabs/Hitec/Airtronics, etc) offer just as good equipment. Each one offers their own top of the line, or bottom of the line that is comparible... So what's left??

Choose the one that when you hold it in your hands. It feels right to you. That's the one you should go for, regardless of what people say to you.

ps...One thing to bare in mind though, and I may not be 100% on this (so don't take my word for it) But I think JR equipment is made in Japan, where as Futaba/Hitec/Airtronics are made in Taiwan,Malaysia, etc....Something to think about if where it is made is important to you

Default my 2 cents

I always used Futaba. Then I decided to buy a new computer radio. I went to the store to get the Futaba 6xa but when I looked at the JR xp 662 and talked to the resident expert I decided that the XP 662 looked better. I bought it and I LOVE IT. It is so so easy to use and I will never go back. I also under stand that the JR has a higher output strength. Any way, I love mine.
