Default Too low sound level of the "beep"

The sound level of the "beep" from my transmitter is too low to hear when I am on the flight line and other models are flying, especially giant models with their loud gas powered engines. Has anyone out there modified their transmitters to increase the sound level of the "beep"? I wish I had a volume control of sorts to turn the level up when it was necessary. I realize modifications would probably void the warranty, but most transmitters in use have long been out of warranty.
Thanks for reading this.

Default Too low sound level of the "beep"

I have a high freq hearing loss so the beeper is useless as far as I am concerned. I wonder if there is some way to put a led or light of some kind on the face of the radio that would give a visual warning.
Anyone got any ideas on this?

Have you checked with the manufacturer regarding this? Perhaps an authorized service center could give you an accurate answer as well. Have you found an answer yet?

Default Beeper Add On

The Summer Issue 2002 of High Flight has an article by Eloy Marez that shows how to make a simple add on to increase the volume of a Tx beeper. I am hesitant to scan the article and post it because of copyright laws, but perhaps you could find someone with a copy or request it through IMAA.
