72 high or low?
Hi there, is there any difference -im talking about performance, interference receiving, output power, etc.- between the 72Mhz low band and the hi band or is it just the same?
Thanks anticipated.

RE: 72 high or low?
there is no difference. most transmitter manufacturers do not make this distinction at all. Futaba (I think) tunes some transmitters using crystals in the upper part of the band and others are tunes using crystals in the lower half of the band.

As DMcQuinn noted, I think that Futaba is the only one to do that, but I think it was the rx's not tx's that were either high or low. I'm not sure about all the new rx's but the R149DP's that I use most of the time started coming out in high or low, now they will do either one. IIRC the split was channel 35?

RE: 72 high or low?
I'm pretty shure futaba is the only one that makes high and low bands . There is no difference in what I can tell in the preformance of my high and low band recivers .

RE: 72 high or low?
As said before only futaba makes the distinction and I wonder if on the new tx and rx they are maintaining this difference (for marketing purposes) when in reality there isn't any. At some point in the past it may have been useful.... (same with the shift)
