Default Dual Conversion on JR's 10 Channel?

Please tell me why Jr uses dual conversion of some there 10 channels receivers and not on the rest? Why just the 10 channel ones. There must be some advantage in doing this? Then I see that Futaba uses dual conversion on all of there receivers. What am I missing? Thanks.

Default RE: Dual Conversion on JR's 10 Channel?

Dual conversion is used by most manufacturors because it is generally less susceptible to interference. JR used a different method on their single conversion than most other receivers, don't know why they are going to some dual conversion. Futaba does make a few single-conversion receivers that are used for park flyers (the R114F and R124F I know are single conversion, may be others), the stated reception range is fairly short compared to their dual conversion stuff.
