Default Whats The Best way to Connect 4 Aileron servos

I have just got hold of a Pitts bi-Plane, that uses 4 Aileron servos.

Is it suitable to use 2 "Y" Leads to connect these or is there a better way.

I use a JR PCM 9 TX.

Many Thanks

I am using 4 ail servos in a 35% with 2 RX, but you can do it with one if you Y the batteries in. I wouldn't do it, but you can. I use 2 RX and split the servos between them, then have 3 plugs from each battery into its respective RX... this is all for really high current servos though (5955s).

1 Throttle
2 R aileron #1
3 Elevator half #1
4 Rudder (I actually have 2 rudder servos in a self adusting try... one servo plus into ch 4 on each RX)
5 R Outboard aileron
6 L Aileron #1
7 L Aileron #2
8 Elevator half #2
9 Choke

You could also use a matchbox, or you could use HITEC digis and program them for endpoints and centers.

I have a Cermark Pitts S2B with 4 servos in the wings. I used JR Matchboxes, 2 servos into each going into seperate channels on my reciever. You can use the matchboxes to trim the servos, they work great. I don't like using Y's because you can not trim individual servos.

You didnt say what size Pitts or servos, If its something like the GP Pitts or then wyes will be just fine, I have done this with 5945 digitals all round and there is not a problem, I suggest running 6V instead of 4.8V, use heavy duty good quality gold plated connections and keep the runs as short as possible.

andyt,

Why give up the ability to adjust individual servos? Use matchboxes. JMHO.

If I had 2 servos per surface then I dont use Ys but as its one servo per control suface, if installed properly you can adjust the linkage. In my case 2 channels for Elevator ,1 for Rudder,2 for ailerons Top and bottom, 1 for choke, 1 for throttle and 1 for smoke leaves no room for splitting ailerons and why add Matchboxes if they are not needed.
channel 9 on my Futaba is not a real channel so I max at 8.

According to your pics I see only one switch-harness? Can you connect a second main switch?

Ill answer for him, its an electronic switch, the batteries do not run thru it, you can use 2 switches on the battery side and leave the one failsafe switch alone if you want.
