Default Futaba servos, what's the difference between these two

I need some standard size servos for a sixty size model, and would like to know what is the basic difference between the S148 and the S3003. Thanks.

The 3003 is the basic standard servo with no bearings in the case. The 148 is what Futaba calls a precision servo, still no bearings though. There is a thread in the Futaba factory support forum about the differences in the 3001 vs 3004 and Bax or Krysta described what the difference is between a regular servo and a 'precision' one. The thread is relevent to your question because the 3001 is the ball bearing version of the 148 and the 3004 is the ball bearing version of the 3003.

There is something in the way the precision servo works that makes it handle certain vibration better than the regular servo. The 3003/3004 are not recommended by Futaba for Heli use and the 148/3001 are recommended for Heli use.
