Can anyone shed some light on what may be wrong. When I pwr up the radio it beeps and flashes the word warning in the top center & the words{ F.mode } in the middle left side of LCD.

Any descent computer radio such as the 8103 will do this when a toggle switch is in a position that activates a function when the radio is turned on. The "F. mode" displayed on your LCD and beeping is a built-in safety feature to keep you from flying your aircraft with a function turned on that might cause your model to crash.

With the radio turned off simply return the offending toggle switch back to it's off position and then turn the radio on. That will correct your problem.

this happens when you are in Helicopter mode and turn it on,having the "flight-mode,throttle hold,inverted switch " not in the normal/off position.
