Default Bec or not Bec?!? Help desperatly needed!

Hello.

I have just ordered a Futaba 2PL system for my car (electrical powered), and I just noticed that it said that the reciever doesnt have a BEC. My question is now, how does it affect my car, can I still run it? If so do I need anything else?

This is the system I am going to use.

Reciever: The 2PL system one (R142JE). [link=http://www.futaba-rc.com/radios/futk01.html]http://www.futaba-rc.com/radios/futk01.html[/link]
ESC: "DuraTrax IntelliSpeed 16T Mild-Modified Reverse ESC", "BEC Equipped." [link=http://www.duratrax.com/caraccys/dtxm1065.html]http://www.duratrax.com/caraccys/dtxm1065.html[/link]

My reason for consern is that the ESC is equiped with BEC, but not the reciever.

Do I need to excange my reciever?
Do the reciever need to be equiped with BEC to use the ESC as a provider of current?
Is it possible to use a reciever battery to provide the reciever with current?

Please help me, I really want to make this work!!

Thank you in advance

/Tobias

The receiver is powered from the ESC/BEC. The BEC circuit of the ESC provides power to the receiver through the throttle channel connection to the receiver. Looks like you'll have what you need.

You can hook up a separate battery to power up the receiver. If you do, you'll need to disconnect the Positive lead from the ESC throttle connector.
