Jr R610m
Hi,
Is there any one using this micro reciever in regular .40 and .60 sized sport planes, if so what kind of range do you have; and if you say its out of site range does that really mean til you can bearly see it, becasue some peoples out of sight is different from others.
Thanks,
Justin

Got your PM
When the 610M receivers first came out they had significant problems with interference and reduced range.
JR revised them with a longer, thinner antenna and some well-placed strain reliefs - they are now just as solid as every other receiver they make.
My original 610M suffered from the previously-mentioned problems. Ground range tests at our flying field (tx antenna collapsed, no other radios on) revealed minor glitching from ~50 yards away with the motor off and fairly severe glitching at the same distance with the motor on.
I sent the RX back to JR under the recall; they fixed and returned it to me.
Ground tests of the new RX under similar conditions were rock-solid to over 80 yards with motor either on or off.
This new-revision 610M is currently in my Wizard-E electric sailplane. I have flown this combination to ridiculous heights - ridiculous being the height at which the plane is only visible as a big dot and a small dot. (the big dot is the wing, the small dot is the tail).
Since your 610M is brand-new from JR you'll not have any problems. Just make sure that it has a blue QC dot on the case - that marks the revised model.
Of course, if you'd prefer to have an R600 I'd trade you one straight-acros for your 610M... I've got other HLG sailplanes to outfit
