Default 35 / 36 mHz Compatibility?

Hi, I have an older 40 mHz AM transmitter that works just fine on 41 mHz AM receivers (with the correct crystal installed).

I was wondering if the same would apply to a 35 / 36 FM system? i.e. If I had a 36 mHz FM transmitter, would that be compatible with a 35 mHz FM receiver (again, with the matching crystals installed)?

Thanks.

Since no one else has responded....
Every thing will probably work fine. Do a complete range test before flying. The best bet by far would require a complete retuning and re-alignment by a qualified technician.

Now the critics may speak[:-]

Thanks Lady Flyer. As it happens, I think I can reach a factory qualified technician I can check with before I do something silly. Will still do the range check as you suggest before sending anything aloft.
