Default hitec radio/reciever issues

I am running a Hitec AM HP-2RNB crystal reciever on a frequency of 75.550 with a Hitec agressor radio system in an XTM Mammoth ST. It was all working fine one day and then the next I was having problems. The reciever is not responding at all. I made some of the obvious checks like batteries, wires, antenna but nothing seemed to work. What can I do to figure out what the problem is?

You could have broken the crystal. You can also send it to have it checked out.

Mike.

is there anything I can do to determine what is wrong with it. Any tests or trouble shooting? Yes, it may be the crystal but it could also be a number of things. Thanks for the reply.

You could open the case and examine the circuit board under a magnifying glass for cracks, lifted traces, and for solder spatter.

You could shake the bejesus out of it with an engraver tip to see if the functionality changes.

You could chase across the circuit board with a voltmeter or scope. Do you have voltage to the receiver board? But there is no magic method.
