Default Futaba Receiver Power

I just recently bought a Futabe 6EXAP radio package and was wondering how I get power to the micro-receiver that came with it. I know the power is fed into the "6/batt" (or something) slot. should there be a battery with this receiver or does the power feed from by main battery throught the ESC.

The receiver model number is R156F if that helps.

Thanks for the help

It is critically important that you state if this is a glow plane, a glider or an electric plane. From your comments I am guessing that it is an electric. If your ESC has a BEC circut, then it will feet power to the receiver through the throttle channel connection.

BTW, be aware that that receiver has a very short range of 650 feet.

That is plenty for your average 20-40 inch winged parkflyer but if you put it in a larger plane be aware that you can get out of range.

Default RE: Futaba Receiver Power

It is an electric park flyer. That answers my question, Thankyou. I thought that was how it would work but was not sure and wanted to get a more qualified opinion on it.

Thanks again
