Airtronics VG6DR Vanguard
I ran accross a clean 6 chnl vanguard in a Skylark and need to ask a few questions
First is it worth maintaining / updating ? if so who would offer the req'd services
Second, the R/CMA AMA tag on bottom has RF Check 2/88 (not gold stickerd)
Channel 44,
Was this a Good radio for its time?

The Vanguard is a great radio, I have two that I have been using for six years. Replace the batteries and your set to go. Do a range check to make sure receiver is working properly, and make sure you have full movement on the servos for each channel. Your going to have to make sure it is set up for narrow band.

Narrow band conversion ? who and where?
It is a nice radio though, servo reversing and dual rate 6 channel
I may use it in a early 80's kit to match its era"

As Dave said it's a great radio, I had two, but they were narrow band. If it can be made narrow band, the people to check with are Radio South, good luck

Just to Clarify they were already 'Narrow Band'?
I will check with Radio South, and also get some of my others bench'ed also.
