I've been looking at the Futaba 7c and want this radio to serve both planes and a heli. Is the only difference between the H and A models the hardware that they include or are these radios set-up differently? Thanks!

The A and H both have all of the programming for planes and helis. The H has non-ratcheted throttle stick.
Labeling on the faceplates is different. Some switches may be in different locations.

If you are going to fly helicopters get the H version.

The switches are better laid out for chopper flying and the ratchet is gone from the throttle, other wise the software is identical, I fly planes just fine with my 9CH

Thanks alot guys! I plan on getting my first gas heli and I have at least 10 planes that I'd like the capability to fly on it as well. Right now the heli is priority I've taken the ratchet out of my skysport 6A that I use for my sim. I think the 7CH will be a perfect next radio[8D]

I have a 9CH and I don't fly Helis at all. I fly sailplanes and small electrics. Liked the smooth throttle and the placement of some of the switches.
