Default 9g Micro Servo Suggestions

Any suggestions for replacing my Hitec HS55 servos with alternative 9g servos ?

They appear to be causing the glitching I am having, as everthing else has been changed apart from these, & I have since found out on other forums about quite a few cases of these being the cause, by either certain set ups, or from a large bad batch of them.

Iv'e got a couple in mind upto now:
but not fixed on any as yet.

Protech B180's
and
Multiplex Nano S

- are the Multiplex Nano S servos the same as a HS55 but just in a different casing ? if so, I want to avoid them as well .

Any more suggestions anyone can reccomend ?

I have had the same problem as you have with the small HS-55 servos, switching the receiver to a Futaba R118F solved my problems, it is heavy but one can loose 10grams by removing the receivers-casing, it seems the big bulky R118F is more resilient to rf noise than smaller receivers.
As for servos I have about 20 or so GWS pico and naro and there have not been any problems with those what so ever, I know they are cheap but my buget is not big.

Thanks,

I'll check out those servos too.

I did try my futaba RX as well as a GWS one as well, and all three of my RX's got the same glitching,...........so the servos have got to go !

The new HS-65's are similar in size to the 55's and are leaps and bounds above them performance wise.

Yes, Nano's are 55's.

Be aware the the 55 is probably THE most popular servo on the market at this time with hundreds of thousands sold, so you probably just have a bad one. I'd send it to Amerang and see if they will repair or replace them for you under warranty.

Mike.
