Default need help jr7202 vs 9c super

hi im beginer to rc plane and tomorow im goin to buy my 1st radio.but im wife told me that will be my 1st and last radio for 5yrs.so i want to make sure that ill get satisfied with that radio.right now i have model tech magic as my 1st plane and maybe soon ill fly some scale planes like warbirds up to .60 size only coz im sure i can not afford a planes larger than 60.im also interested to fly some electric heli soon.

i like the jr7202 coz its synthesized so i wont had a problem with the friq. the 9c super got alot of features but im not sure if i need that features if ill fly small scale planes and elect heli only.so if the 7202 will do the job plus it has synthesizer so ill go for it.

any suggestions?thanks...

I would say your choice should be between the Jr 9303 or Futaba 9C.
Both are Synth capable.

No, if the 9C is in your budget, then I would definately get it over the 7202

Be aware the JR7202 does not have a timer fuction so you can keep track of how long
your plane is in the air. as far as i know all other radios in that price range do have timers.

I have a JR7202 purchased on Aug. 26, 2006, it has timers for each of the 20 models + the transmitter comes with a 1500mah nimh battery

I dont have a 7202 but the word from horizon hobby is that it does not have a timer.
When they first came out i kind of thinking of getting one untill horizon said they didnt
have a timer, if they have now upgraded the raido that would be great.

People make mistakes, take a look at rc universe.com review of the JR7202, they have it listed as a 7207, I send them a correction today. I also have a two JR6102 radios that I will be selling to buy another JR7202. I like that extra channel and no crystals + it comes with 4 72oz digital servos (DS821). Go check it out at your local hobby store.

I have the 7202 Jr 7 channel and really like it but the only timer on the radio is an over all how long the radio is on timer it isn't a count down timer. But for 6.95 I bought a talking timer on ebay that works great. You don't have to look down at it because it anounces every minute how long you have been up.
