Default Futaba 9c and Hitec Synthesized Module

I am thinking about purchasing a new Futaba 9c radio. I also have a Hitec Syn. module that I can change freq's on. My question is, has anyone out there used this combo (radio/module) in anything, ie heli,a/c, jet?

I have a syn. module in a Futaba 8 channel, flying a Ergo 30 (ccpm) and a ram 500 powered Airmachi 339, both on different freq's, and have not encountered any problems as of yet.

Any info, good or bad, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

According to the 9C faq, that combo is illegal to use. Not FCC approved.

It'll work, but it is frowned upon
