Default Airtronics nicad battery, but no charger

I just got a second hand m8, but it has no charger with the battery. Fortunately I have a charger, and I just want an opinion if this will be ok. (The charger is from a Jack Hummer AAA/AA battery charger)

The manual says to charge for 12 hours at 1 amp; the battery is a 9.6V 700mA nicad, this is a 1.3 amp 9V charger.
