Default Servo Compatability

Hi,

Are Hitec servos compatable with Futaba receivers and other electrical equipment by Futaba?

Thanks,
Ernie

Yes, unless they have the older Airtronics ATX style connectors. Those will not even plug into a Futaba receiver.

Yep, for the most part all servos are wired the same. There's a few exceptions but in general you're good to go.

Yes, but the Futaba and Hitec will rotate in oposite directions with the same input; i.e. if you substitute one for the other in an already set up plane, you need to reverse the signal at the transmitter to have the surface deflection the same.

LOL something like that.

I'm the announcer for the local minor league pro team here in Jacksonville called the Barracudas.

Probably too late now, they probably kaput
The difference is that "old" Airtronics servos have their plugs wired with the pos. and neg. power leads reverse from all other servos, you have to switch the wires on the JR serovs so that the neg. wire is in the center of the plug and the red or orange plus wire is on the end of the plug facing the end of the receiver case. If you have already tried to power them up they are probably toast[:@] Sorry.
