Default Crystal compatibility

Hi. I have some Futaba , Hitec, and FMA receivers. All are FM Dual Conversion. Can I use any ch 39 crystal in them (or any other frequency)? Or, do I have to buy the same brand of crystal as the receiver?

Thanks.

Crystals generally are not interchangable between manufacurers. Use only the crystals made specifically for a specific receiver. Crystals have different characeristics and are used in specific types of radio circuits. Since the differrent manufactdures use different circuits in their radios they are disigned for a specific type of crystal. ie... not all crystals are equal
