Default Futaba high or low band??

I bought a new Futaba R138DP PCM receiver on e-bay and was told it is low band, which is what I need (channel 31). But there is no freq. sticker on the receiver and it didn't come with a crystal (it is brand new). Is there a way to tell if it really is low band from the outside (or the inside)???

Hi@ hdsprockett

Futaba divides the band of 72MHz into two. It is so that may make sympathizing of the frequency delicate.
31ch. is around the center of that frequency(72MHz).
Therefore, whichever of Hi and Lo is used, there is no problem.

Hi hd, I am not sure about your Rx but for the ones I have, hi-band can be identified by red or white marking on the crystal socket or the inductor coil next to it. lo-band does not have any marking. this marking is done in manufacturing as a visual aid. info from futaba japan.
