I'm in the market for new servos and would like to have some high torque, high speed servos. What transition time would be considered a high speed servo--.23sec/60 degrees .10sec/60 degrees??

A comment by a clubmate was that there was not much point in having a servo that could move much faster than you will normally move the stick. Makes sense to me but I am not too sure how this applies to the actual use of servos!

.18 or faster is a very fast servo on 4.8 volts which woulld be even faster on 6 volts..... you may need the expo feature then....

I have a HiTec 5925 digital servo for rudder in my Finesse. Transit time is 0.08 seconds! Now that's what I call fast!

since you are looking for a arbitrary number I pick .15 or below
IMO
.20 to .25 slow
.15 to .20 fairly quick
.15 and below fast
.08 to .10 scary fast

but what is the application ? For control surfaces, you may want fast for aerobatics... but (for example) for a nice scale plane you may not want fast for a scale appearance for flaps or retractable landing gear. While throttle in an RC car can be critical, the speed difference between .08 to .14 in an airplane may not be as noticible.. where will these be used ?
