Am i limited with the 8AUF?
Is the 8AUF limited to only Futaba recievers only? when i bought it, it said works with any 1024 PCM
OR FM and PPM recievers. I also read JR,HITEC, AIRTRONICS are not compatible with this transmitter.

Hi morespeed,
The 8UAF will work with any Futaba, Hitec or other "negative" shift receivers. JR and Airtronics are positive shift and will not work with this transmitter.
I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support team at 217-398-8970 opt 2, or via fax at 217-398-7721.

Hi morespeed,
I am moving this over to the general forum for you, as this is strictly Futaba support here, you will have a good chance there of getting opinions on these ESC's.

Hey morespeed,
Just to clarify one point in Krystas response, in PCM there is NO compatibility between brands, only with PPM (both are FM, but most refer to PPM as FM) is there compatibility, if the shift (FM deviation) is correct. Jr and Airtronics are positive shift, so not compatible with a Futaba transmitter, Hitec on the other hand is negative shift, but most of their new model receivers are "auto shift" they automatically adjust to the transmitter being used (makes them a good investment, if for some reason you want to go with a JR Tx), the one exception in their line is the Electron 6 which has to be ordered in the shift you want.
Just my 2 cents here, but I am leery of any product named "Mystery", especially if it is sold on E-Bay
Cheers,
Pete

I'm with pilotpete2 on this one... [8D]
While I'm not an expert on electrics with most of my experience being confined to my foamies, I've never heard of those brands. It sounds like you're pretty new at this stuff so I'd suggest getting with your LHS for more mainstream parts, pieces and support, especially at first since it's so easy to get mis-matched components. At present, there's just not a real good way to directly compare the electric stuff and there is a lot to learn.
