Default Hitec radio systems, inexpensive and good quality?

Yes you can use the Hitec transmitter with futaba RX. You can also use JR, and Airtronics RX with the Eclipse. Daz...

Let me just say this. My first radio was a single channel "MULE" transmitter, SH 100 citizenship rx, SE2 compound escapement. compared to that rig, The cheepest of the cheep today, is better than that rig. Try Reeds if you really want a challange.
Seriously, Futaba, JR, Hitec, and Airtronics are all equally good.
as a matter of fact, It's hard to find a bad radio system today.
But you must remember...... Whatever someone else flys, or drives, for that matter, That'swill the best.

I've owned Futaba, JR and Hitec...mostly use hitec receivers and now the Eclipse 7 tx is my main transmitter. I like it and felt it was good bang for the buck...maybe they can offer these less money since they don't need to pay out 100's of thousands of dollars in sponsorships and promotion like JR and futaba. Savings get passed on to the users.

I've never had any problems with any of the 3 brands above personally. It comes down to features, price and your personal preferences as I believe overall they each make quality products.

Default Range issue?? on Hitec??

I can spec out a 120" wing span sail plane running all hitec stuff and have NEVER lost control.

All I run now is Hitec gear - yes it is a little lacking compared to radios costing twice as much in the mixing areas but I ahve no complaints at all. There are "better" Tx out there if you are going to use all the functions but for 250 bucks it cant be beat. It will do everthing I ask it to do and have nevere had any issues.

One nice thing is that you can runn any Rx you want!!! airtronics or futaba!!

build em light build em strong fly hard!!
