Is this Radio any good?
Well my Friend has another one, he sells it for $40:
Airtronic Vangard 4 FM radio with receiver
ch24, 4 channels, trainer switch, looks like new. he has too many radios and this one just doesn't get used much. Good battery in transmitter.

The gold sticker shows that the radio complies with narrow band tuning. They were issued starting in 1991. The sticker would be on the back of the transmitter. More than likely the radio is gold-stickered, but it's a good idea to make sure.

Gold Sticker
The gold sticker program ended several years ago in 1999 or 2000 (8 years after 1991). Everything Airtronics has made since the late 80's is in compliance with the narrow band requirements. Buy the radio, it's fine. The receiver itself is worth more than 40 bucks. Make sure you check the batteries.

All Airtronics Vangard Radios were built to gold specs. They all have narrow band RX's and TX's Buy it they are great you will not go wrong. I have two and 89 and 91 and still going strong
