Futaba Super7
One of our members at the club has a Super 7 w/ four Futaba 148 servos & a receiver without a manual 4 sale for $75. I have heard that this is a very good radio but very hard to program. I looked up on the net to see about it & somebody has rewritten the manual in plain words so a idiot would be able to understand it. I would appreciate any thoughts on this. Also, am looking for a manual.

RE: Futaba Super7
I have a Super 7 that I still trust my pattern plane and helicopter to after about 10 or 11 years. It goes to Radio South every 4 or 5 years for a checkout, and has never caused a problem. Tony at Radio South probably has a manual he would part with, or it should still be online at the Futaba website. It was about a year ago. Worst case let me know and I'll copy the relevant parts and send to you from mine. Even though I have 2 9C Super's, I still like the feel of the Super 7 better.

When I had my Futaba 7, the book of choice was by Don Edberg, published (I believe) by Dynamic Modeling. I have no idea where to get these now, but it is worth a search. Don is still around somewhere.

Its not that hard to program, the biggest handicap is the number of characters on the display available that makes for some strange abbreviations.
Road trip to jax for a day and you can fly up here and I can teach you everything you need to know about that radio.

I have had three of them over the years, still have tow of them. They are the best feeling transmitters I have used, including Jr 10's and 9Z's. They are not that hard to program, just as was said above, they have odd abbreviations. None of mine ever glitched, much less failed me for any reason. If you get it, I would send to Tony at Radio South for a going over and then fly the heck out of it.

http://dynmodel.com/index.html Don Edberg makes it so easy even a caveman could do it.
