Default Changing reciever crystals

I have a trainer that has a Fataba 4 channel radio which is on channel 57. I would like to use this plane for aerial pictures, but I need to change crystal on reciever to match the Fataba 6 channel computer radio I have on my other 2 planes. The problem is that the other radio is channel 13. Can I use a Hi band reciever with a low band crystal? Or will I have to change the reciever too?

Default Changing reciever crystals

slowfly42:
You will have to change the reciever or send it to hobby services to be retuned to work on low band.
good luck

Default Thanks you flyers

I was pretty sure I couldn't switch crystals, but want'd to be 100% sure before I bought another reciever. Prob. just as cheap to buy another one than to send the one I have back to be reworked. I'll just keep the the original and radio for my daughter. She is 9 yrs of age and shows some signs of interest in RC planes. I might get another trainer and use the4 channel for it.
Thanks for the info.
