Default Channel Question

Hello. I have a hitec FM Receiver that I want to use with a Futaba 7CHP FM Transmitter. On the hitec receiver, it says "use with hitec or futaba transmitter." Is it safe for me to do this? Should I use a futaba or hitec brand receiver crystal? The original crystal in the hitec receiver is 34 but my futaba transmitter is 39 and I plan on putting a 39 futaba crystal in the hitec receiver. Thanks for any help.

Sure. Futaba/Hitec use the same pulse shift. That's why it DOESN'T say to use with a JR. (Which uses a different pulse shift)

Install the appropriate Xtal...range check the system (engine on!!) and provided all is well....you're fine to go flying.

You will want a hitec reciever crystal of the correct conversion type, either single or dual conversion. I wouldnt reccomend crossing manufacturers when crystals are concerned.

yeah i tried using a futaba crystal in this hitec and it seems alright but only after like 20 minutes it starts to lose signal. I dont know if its the battery or the crystal/receiver.
