Elcipse w/ simulator question?
I have a hitec eclipse 7 with spectra module, and plan to use it with a R/C simulator on my computer (connected through the trainer cord).
Will I be transmitting a RF signal while using the trainer cord to pc adapter? (If so, I will need to warn my neigbor who also is in the hobby - we do not live within miles of anyone else who flies R/C)
Will I need to extend the antena to avoid overheating the output stage (spectra module)?
If I remove the module while using it on the simulator, will I still get a signal through the trainer cord without transmitting a RF signal (or will this damage my radio)?
Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Removing the module removes the part of the radio that actually transmits the RF signal which is exactly what you want to do. Don't have to worry about anything that way, won't hurt anything, that's one of the things modules were created for.
