Default Spektrum Dx6 problems

Hi i have a spektrum transmitter and a plane it works fine with..just plug it in and 2 or 3 beeps later its rdy to go.
I built another plane J3 cub, and went and bought another dx6 receiver that was used and supposed to wrk.
well i hooked the new dx6 rec to the plane just like the other 1 is set up and i get a flashing light on the rec but when i turn the transmitter on it wont pick up the receiver.I know its prolly somethin im doin wrong but i lost the dx6 directions lol.
Can anyone share there knowledge on my problem,,

Did you push the bind button on the Tx after powering the Rx in bind mode?

i put the bind plug into the rec and powered the trans up and pushed the bind button in the back..
not sure that was what i should have done

G'day Gator,
You push the bind plug into the switch harness charge lead, with the battery connected, switch the RX switch on, then the TX & push bind button on TX.

Your supposed to push the bind button first then turn on the transmitter.

You are right, sorry I thought I typed it right, but I stuffed it up, when I read my post again.
Push & hold Bind button, while turning on TX.
Please forgive.

Speaking of the DX6 l just flew mine with my f-22 and at 100mtrs l lost contact
Dont think its the binding as l did that corectly

Batteries were all charged up

hmmmmmm wierd
