Default Futaba 6EXAS tx cycling

I would like to cycle the battery in my 6exas transmitter but I'm assuming I have to remove the battery because of it being diode protected. Am I going to lose all my plane info I have stored doing this?

First it depends if you have a poly switch or a diode, if its diode then yes you will have to remove it and no you wont loose the model setups, they are either stored via a watch battery or more commonly stored in something called NVRam

Straight from the Futaba website

If I remove my transmitter battery will I lose all my data? Does my radio have a lithium battery to store all my programming, or how is this data stored? Do I need to service this memory in any way?

For memory storage your radio uses permanent EEPROM memory and does not have a lithium battery. Only the 9Z and 14MZ series radios have Lithium back up batteries. Your transmitter battery may be removed safely for storage, cycling, or other reasons without loss of data.
